Philodendron 'White Princess' is a rare ornamental cultivar belonging to the Araceae family. Developed from tropical Philodendron species native to Central and South America, it is prized for its glossy green leaves uniquely variegated with crisp white patches and occasional hints of pink on the stems or leaf sheaths.
Unlike climbing Philodendrons with deeply lobed foliage, 'White Princess' maintains a compact upright growth habit with broad, oval leaves, making it ideal for decorative containers and indoor displays. Each leaf develops a unique variegation pattern, ensuring every plant is one of a kind.
Growth Habit
Philodendron 'White Princess' is a moderately slow-growing evergreen tropical perennial with a compact, upright to semi-climbing growth habit. Indoors, it typically reaches 60–100 cm (2–3 ft) in height. As it matures, it benefits from a moss pole or stake for support, encouraging larger foliage and healthier growth.
Watering Requirement
Water moderately, allowing the top 2–5 cm (1–2 inches) of soil to dry before watering again. Keep the soil evenly moist but never soggy. Reduce watering during cooler months and always use a well-draining potting mix to prevent root rot.
Light Requirement
Thrives in bright indirect light. Adequate light is essential for maintaining its beautiful white variegation. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the white portions of the leaves, while insufficient light may reduce variegation.
Ideal Placement
Place Philodendron 'White Princess' in bright living rooms, offices, bedrooms, plant shelves, or near east- or north-facing windows with filtered light. It thrives in warm temperatures between 18–29°C (65–85°F) and appreciates moderate to high humidity.

Plant Health and Maintenance
Grow in a loose, well-draining aroid potting mix containing orchid bark, coco chips, perlite, and peat or coco coir. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer to encourage healthy foliage growth.
Propagation is commonly done through stem cuttings containing at least one node. Common pests include spider mites, mealybugs, aphids, scale insects, and thrips. Overwatering may lead to root rot, while low humidity can cause brown leaf edges. Remove completely green shoots if they begin to dominate, as they may reduce the plant's attractive variegation over time.

Planters & Accessories: Claims for damaged or defective items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with supporting photos. Approved claims will be eligible for replacement. Minor variations in finish or appearance are not considered defects.
Plant Structures & Custom Orders: Plant structures and customized items are non-refundable and non-returnable once confirmed and production has been started. Any damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. We are not responsible for issues arising after delivery due to handling or installation.
Gift Orders: For gift orders, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all recipient details are accurate. We are not responsible for failed or delayed deliveries due to incorrect information or unavailability of the recipient. As gifts are prepared and delivered as requested, returns or refunds are not accepted based on recipient preference. However, damaged items must be reported within 24 hours with photographic proof.
Orders that are refused, unattended, or delayed due to incorrect delivery details will not be eligible for refunds or replacements. All claims are subject to verification and approval. Cosy Plants reserves the right to decline any request that does not comply with this policy.
